Child Care Worker
Manitoulin Family Resources provides comprehensive childcare services across Gore Bay, Mindemoya, and Espanola, supporting families with high-quality early childhood education and other essential community programs.
Manitoulin Family Resources also supports Licensed Home Child Care services in Manitoulin & Lacloche regions.
Manitoulin Family Resources requires 2 full time Child Care Workers. These positions will be working with children from infant to school age. The positions will be based out of the Central Manitoulin Public School location and the Little Current Child Care Centre location.
Languages required: English
Responsibilities:
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and caregivers to build strong, trusting relationships.
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate, inclusive, and engaging programming.
- Foster a nurturing and responsive environment that supports the emotional, physical, and cognitive well-being of all children in care.
Qualifications:
- Professional designation with registration with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Excellent interpersonal, planning and communication skills
- Theoretical knowledge of the reflective practice of early childhood education and be able to “plan and deliver inclusive play-based learning programs” for families and children of all ages
- Ability to be a team player
- Valid First Aid and Infant CPR certification
- Up to date medical and immunizations
- Clear vulnerable sector screening check
- Current Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Insurable Driver’s Abstract

These positions are Full Time positions within the bargaining unit. Flexibility in scheduling will be required to meet the needs of the programs.
