Manitoulin Family Resources is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and community-minded EarlyON Educator to join our Children Services team. This role is dedicated to supporting children, parents, and caregivers through play-based learning, family engagement, and community connection through the creation of inclusive, culturally responsive spaces where families can learn, grow, and thrive together. Using How Does Learning Happen? as the foundation, Educators will design and deliver high-quality programs that promote belonging, well-being, engagement, and expression. The ideal candidate is passionate about child development, skilled in family support, and excited to collaborate with community partners.

Education required: RECE
Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor programs.
- Facilitate playgroups, workshops, parent education sessions, and drop-in services
- Build strong, supportive relationships with families and provide referrals/warm handoffs to community services.
- Participate in community events, partnerships, and local service networks
- Develop responsive programming informed by community needs, family feedback, and HDLH
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
- PLEASE NOTE: Non – RECE’s may be considered, with the opportunity of receiving additional education and designation
- Valid First Aid/Infant CPR Certificate.
- Experience working with children and families in a play-based setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of community resources, referral pathways, and family support systems
- Proficient with digital systems, email, and software applications
- Understanding of HDLH, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Child Care and Early Years Act, and Child and Family Services Act
