Impact

Six people from across Manitoulin-Sudbury who shape the most important years of a child's life, and who wouldn't trade it for anything.

The Work

Between birth and age six, a child's brain develops faster than at any other point in their life. The people who spend those years with them are doing much more than watching over kids. They observe how children play, build learning around their interests, and form real relationships with children, families and each other.

It takes training, skill and judgement. It also takes curiosity, patience, and a willingness to be a little silly. That's early childhood education.

Meet our Early Childhood Educators

A district that shows up for its educators

In Manitoulin-Sudbury, we value educators as the professionals they are. We invest in professional learning, provide resources and supports that strengthen programs, and create opportunities for educators to connect, learn, and share their expertise.

From professional development to regional initiatives that bring the early learning and child care community together, we’re proud to support the people who make a difference in the lives of children and families every day. Because when we invest in educators, we strengthen the quality of early learning and child care across our communities.

Our support from the MSDSB is astounding. There's always an open door
